Pomeroy is expanding its Strategic Technical Staffing footprint across Ontario, Canada. We are seeking a proven staffing hunter who thrives in competitive markets, understands complex IT hiring environments, and is driven by income potential.
This is a high-visibility, revenue-generating role with significant green-field opportunity.
You will manage a limited number of established accounts (approximately 25%), while dedicating the majority of your focus (75%) to aggressive new business development.
If you build pipeline from scratch and close profitable staffing engagements consistently, this role is designed for you.
The Opportunity
The Business Development Executive will lead revenue growth for Strategic IT Staffing Services, owning the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
You will serve as the primary representative of Pomeroy’s Technical Staffing Services within your territory, driving new logo acquisition while expanding existing client relationships.
What You’ll Do
Drive 75% new customer acquisition through disciplined outbound prospecting
Manage and grow a select portfolio of established accounts
Conduct proactive cold calling, executive outreach, and territory expansion activities
Develop comprehensive account coverage and territory plans aligned to business objectives
Align staffing solutions to clients’ IT initiatives and workforce strategies
Prepare and deliver professional responses to RFPs, staffing quotes, and Statements of Work (SOWs)
Collaborate closely with recruiting teams to ensure delivery excellence and client satisfaction
Coordinate internal stakeholders to accelerate deal velocity and execution
Build relationships with decision makers, hiring managers, procurement teams, and IT leadership
Maintain disciplined forecasting and pipeline management
Who You Are
You are competitive, self-directed, and energized by new business development. You understand IT staffing cycles, margin strategy, and how to position value beyond rate.
You likely bring:
5+ years of IT Staffing sales experience
Proven success exceeding revenue and GP targets
Strong prospecting discipline and new logo acquisition track record
Expertise in negotiation, pricing strategy, and contract structuring
Experience responding to RFPs and building SOW-based staffing engagements
Familiarity with ATS platforms, CRM systems, and job board tools
Executive-level communication skills and confident presentation abilities
Ability to operate independently while collaborating cross-functionally
Willingness to travel as needed
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
