Operational Resiliency SpecialistThe work location for this role is 483 Bay Street in Toronto until approximately late 2026, when the work location will change to the new Mississauga office at 3 Robert Speck Parkway.

The Operational Resiliency Specialist supports the development and execution of Fidelity Canada’s business continuity and operational resilience capabilities. This role works closely with business units to identify critical services, map key processes, and develop resiliency & continuity plans to ensure the organization can respond effectively to disruptions.
The role focuses on supporting runbook development, identify dependencies, business impact analysis (BIA), continuity planning, and operational readiness, while supporting crisis exercises and resilience initiatives. It partners with Business Resiliency leadership, Technology Resiliency, Cyber, and Risk teams to ensure alignment between business needs and recovery capabilities.
What You Will Do- Business Impact Analysis Identify critical processes, dependencies, critical vendors, and recovery priorities; maintain accurate process maps and recovery requirements.
- Business Continuity Planning Support the development and maintenance of business continuity plans; validate strategies with stakeholders and identify gaps.
- Operational Resilience Program Analyze processes to identify resiliency requirements and support mitigation strategies; align business continuity needs with technology recovery capabilities.
- Testing & Exercises Assist in planning and executing continuity and crisis simulations; document results, track gaps, and support remediation efforts.
- Crisis Management Support crisis response activities, command and control activities including coordination, communication, and maintaining readiness documentation.
- Stakeholder Collaboration Partner with business units, Technology Resiliency, global resiliency, and Risk teams to ensure alignment of resilience and recovery strategies.
- Governance & Continuous Improvement Maintain documentation, support audits and reviews, and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of resilience frameworks and processes including reporting and metrics.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in business continuity, operational resilience, or risk-related roles
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Experience conducting Business Impact Analysis (BIA), recovery runbooks, and process mapping
- Experience in developing and maintaining business continuity plans and recovery validation testing
- Strong analytical and documentation skills
- Experience working with business stakeholders across multiple functions
- Strong communication and facilitation skills
- Ability to translate business processes into structured recovery plans
- Experience in financial services or regulated environments
- Familiarity with operational resilience frameworks and regulatory expectations (e.g., OSFI, DORA)
- Certifications such as CBCP, MBCI, or equivalent
- Understanding of OSFI guidelines (i.e. E‑21), DORA.
- Certifications in business continuity or operational resilience
- Experience supporting crisis simulations, recovery testing scenarios or tabletop exercises
