Job Description summary
The National Non-Commercial Foodservice Manager, Canada, is responsible for overseeing relationships and developing sales strategies across diverse foodservice channels—such as healthcare, educational institutions, retirement homes, and other non-commercial sectors—within the Canadian market.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Sales & Strategy for Out-Of-Home, this role plays a key part in driving the expansion and growth of managed and GPO businesses including Aramark, Compass, and Sodexo in Canada.
The Manager will focus on connecting Bel brands (Babybel, GoGo SqueeZ, The Laughing Cow, Boursin, and Kiri) to foodservice operations, with an emphasis on increasing volume growth, distribution, and enhancing brand visibility in both snacking and culinary solutions.

Essential duties and responsibilities
Account Management
Manage partnerships with non-commercial foodservice clients Aramark, Compass and Sodexo who provide managed services to such outlets as universities, hospitals, catering organizations, and retirement communitiesManage the contractual GPO portion of Aramark, Compass, and Sodexo maximizing Bel brands visibility to these members, gaining distribution and growing volumeBuild relationships to maximize sales volume and achieve distribution of Bel Brands within target menus and meal plans across snacking and culinary solutionsSales Strategy & Execution
Develop tailored sales strategies to penetrate non-commercial marketsCollaborate with marketing on the development of Bel marketing materials and partner on leveraging promotional events to boost product exposure for the non-commercial segmentWork closely with chefs, foodservice decision-makers, and dietitians to integrate CPG products (e.g., cheeses, snacks, beverages) into their menu offeringsMarket Analysis
Conduct competitor analysis and identify trends in foodservice that align with industry goals (e.g., sustainability, healthy eating)Use data-driven insights to recommend and execute growth strategiesTraining & Support
Partner with cross-functional teams including operations, R&D, marketing, and supply chain to align foodservice offeringsPartner with the broadline distributor partners like Sysco and GFS and the Bel broker teams within Canada to assist in meeting strategic execution plansOffer training sessions to foodservice staff and culinary partners on how to use Bel products effectively to simplify meal preparation while maintaining nutritional qualitySupport Bel brands promotional campaigns internally and externally with key partnersLead and attend various trade events with key non-commercial partners across the countryCompliance & Regulations
Ensure all foodservice products and solutions meet Canadian industry standards for food safety and nutritional compliance in non-commercial environmentsQualifications and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or HospitalityMandatory 7+ years of Non-Commercial Foodservice experience, either in foodservice management within a CPG organization in CanadaExpert knowledge of non-commercial foodservice operations, including retirement residences, healthcare, and education sectorsExcellent negotiation, account management, trade management, and data analytics skillsKnowledge of dietary needs specific to non-commercial sectors, including seniors and institutional foodsAbility to work collaboratively across departments such as marketing and finance and with external stakeholdersHigh level capability in MS OfficeLanguage skills:
English, general understanding of French would be considered an assetThe role involves approximately 10% travel, primarily engaging with key customers in Western regions and to visit our Montreal and Mississauga offices
