Overview
Senior Manager, Savings Initiatives leads retail savings growth, innovation, and delivery in support of client primacy and deposit growth priorities.
Responsibilities- Lead Retail Savings initiatives across product growth, innovation, and delivery.
- Develop new Savings product business cases and business‑modeling to drive deposit growth and profitability.
- Monitor competitive environment, key market forces, and positioning for new Savings initiatives.
- Lead innovation for new Savings initiatives, enhancing product features and pricing to heighten acquisition, engagement, and retention.
- Define and track key KPIs on new Savings initiatives to meet the company’s deposit‑growth ambition.
- Collaborate with Retail Customer Growth, marketing, and channel partners to drive client primacy, grow deposits, and scale market share in priority markets.
- Develop go‑to‑market strategies, including offers, marketing tactics, and change management.
- Develop early‑month on‑book journey and engagement touchpoints throughout the customer lifecycle.
- Promote a continuous feedback cycle to evolve product innovation and tactics.
- Work closely with Analytics, Pricing, and Portfolio Management to develop Savings profit‑plan projections and assess product demand, market, and competitive factors.
- Collaborate with advanced analytic teams and external partners to develop best‑in‑class product features, pricing engine, and campaigns that drive significant growth in acquisition and retention.
- Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of the area in accordance with Scotiabank’s values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles, ensuring adequate operational and compliance controls.
- Champion high performance and contribute to an inclusive work environment.
- Post‑secondary education required; MBA or Master’s degree in Business Administration or Marketing preferred.
- Five years or more of relevant experience across retail financial products.
- Exceptional business planning, product roadmap design, strategy development, analytical, and execution skills.
- Excellent relationship management with demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholders.
- Proven experience delivering complex initiatives on time and within budget.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong financial acumen, analytical and market research skills.
- Thorough understanding of the business environment, competitive factors, and retail banking channels.
- Ability to integrate diverse sources of information into tactical recommendations and plans (product, channel, marketing, and customer).
