Senior Product Manager, Managed Solutions, Product Development & Management

Reports to the Director, Product Development and Management, Managed Solutions.

• Develop and implement new product initiatives; manage product enhancements; advance key business initiatives across CIBC Asset Management’s product platforms.
• Manage the product lineup, incorporating sales/client feedback, market data and competitive landscape insights.
• Lead product development and management strategy, collaborating with sales, marketing, portfolio management and operations teams.
• Provide analytical support and leverage deep understanding of products, pricing, client segments and market behaviour to recommend plans and tactics that optimize the product mix and enhance the client experience.
• Exercise sound judgement in decision‑making on complex issues, contributing to product planning, development, management and performance.
• Lead project teams (internal & external) to deliver new products or enhancements, ensuring alignment with legal, tax, business, and risk stakeholders.
• Maintain comprehensive competitive information on market penetration, product capabilities, and initiatives; communicate product information and positioning to internal and external partners.
• Analyze business needs and objectives to develop and implement strategic product plans; manage on‑going operational support.
• Interpret complex information, identify patterns and trends, and develop recommendations independently to meet urgent business priorities.
• Demonstrate management and leadership skills to achieve results within a matrix organization; bring about change at a senior level.
• Manage relationships with internal and external partners, including marketing, vendors and other lines of business.

• 3–5 years of investment product development experience, proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and expertise with Morningstar Direct.
• In‑depth knowledge of mutual fund products and strong understanding of the regulatory workplace.
• Experience in product development, product management, and project management within a financial services setting.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities; ability to interpret complex data and present it clearly.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and relationship‑building skills.
• Experience with business planning, business model development, pricing best practices, and strategic planning.
• Leadership skills sufficient to achieve results in a matrix management environment with specialists from diverse disciplines.
• University degree in Business, Finance or related field.
• Strong analytical skills; CFA candidate or charter holder preferred.
• Preferred industry accreditations (e.g., CSC, CFP, IFIC).

• Base salary range: $92,490 to $127,200 annually.
