Product Solutions Analyst
This is a secondment/contract role ending on November 11, 2027. The work location is 483 Bay Street in Toronto until approximately late 2026, then the new Mississauga office at 3 Robert Speck Parkway. You will work on a hybrid schedule and must have current work authorization for Canada.
Product Solutions AnalystThe Product Solutions Analyst supports and enhances Fidelity Canada’s retail lineup of mutual funds and solutions. Reporting to the Director, Product Solutions & Sustainability, the Analyst provides critical support for new product development initiatives, delivers strategic, competitor, and industry analysis, and champions a segment of Fidelity’s retail products, solutions, and tools to drive marketing and sales efforts.
Product Development- Identify compelling product ideas that meet Fidelity standards and customer needs.
- Develop product positioning, competitive benchmarking/analysis, and key factors that influence sales success to build a business case for new products and solutions.
- Collaborate with external resources and internal partners throughout Fidelity to bring new products and solutions to market.
- Own product development projects from idea to delivery.
- Ensure assigned products and solutions are optimally positioned for success.
- Demonstrate high-level product, market, and competitive investment category expertise.
- Develop a deep understanding of success drivers within the assigned product segment and articulate them to management.
- Develop and articulate a well-supported view of the future of the category or asset class.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and other internal partners to develop all promotional materials (marketing collateral, digital, advertising, etc.) for new and existing products and solutions.
- Ensure assigned products and solutions are supported with strong baseline collateral that accurately reflects investment merits.
- Develop and deliver proactive investment marketing and asset retention ideas to support sales efforts.
- Anticipate Marketing and Sales team needs and deliver proactive solutions.
- Minimum 3 years of mutual fund/investment industry experience with prior experience in investment analysis/modeling.
- Completion of a university degree, or equivalent work experience.
- Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) is required.
- Prior experience in sales and/or marketing in financial services is an asset.
- Designations such as an MBA or CFA are an asset.
- Strong knowledge of investment products and services.
- Exceptional analytical ability.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Proven experience performing complex data analysis (e.g., sales, performance analysis).
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Flexible, hourly compensation model ranging from $38.00 to $62.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
- Compensation aligns with provincial pay transparency requirements.
