The Manager, Commercial – Contract Logistics
, is an individual contributor sales role focused on driving new business. The primary responsibility is to sell contract logistics and value-added services and further grow new accounts. This position is given a high degree of autonomy to manage the solution sales process and is supported extensively by the organization.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Develops and executes a comprehensive territory plan aimed at identifying the top regional/industry opportunities and expanding business to new accountsGenerates effective leads and opportunities from the territory planIdentifies and develops relationships with key decision makers at all levels within an accountUnderstands the customer's business (strategically, operationally, financially) and understands the customer's buying process and identify all influences, intimately understanding their requirementsWorks across company to create custom solutions that deliver value to our customersTakes ownership for bids/quotes and ensure all internal stakeholders in the company are aligned on any such bids and that responses are professionally administered and in line with our internal financial rulesWorks closely with various domestic and international colleagues in a professional manner which reflects the role and ability to understand and account for varying business perspectives surrounding solutions to the assigned customerMaintains an open dialogue with the account executive sponsor and keeps the sponsor engaged in the accountMaintains an up-to-date pipeline of current and future opportunities, quantifying number of opportunities, value of the opportunity and managing the probability to winOwns the commercial relationship and contract negotiations with customer for all new business wins and partners with colleagues in other regions on broader opportunities for select customersPromotes and demonstrates positive behaviors in harmony with DP World’s Our PrinciplesEstablishes effective leadership and participation in the HSEMS through demonstration and display of safety behaviorsUnderstands the consequences related to inappropriate conduct or behavior or disregard for safety and security programs, policies and proceduresConducts regular inspections of the workplace and correct unsafe conditions and behaviorsEnsures that the highest levels of safety are applied in all activities.Understands and adheres to DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policiesPerforms other related duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain or other relevant fieldWillingness to travel up to 90%Relevant work experience with a proven track record in winning new customers4+ years of relevant experienceSpecific knowledge and experience working in the North America contract logistics marketPlease note
