Our energy client is seeking a Supply Chain Management Specialist (10+ years) to deliver strategic insights on global markets, tariffs, and geopolitical risks impacting supply chain decisions

Join a high-impact role supporting procurement and category management across global energy projects. This position translates external economic and geopolitical trends into actionable strategies that safeguard cost competitiveness and supply continuity. The analyst acts as a trusted advisor to Supply Chain Management leadership, providing forward-looking market outlooks and risk mitigation recommendations for major sourcing initiatives. The role offers visibility into enterprise-level decisions shaping global procurement strategy.

Contract, Calgary - onsite 3 days a week

Must Haves

  • 5+ years in market intelligence
    , geopolitical analysis
    , or supply chain strategy within global organizations
  • Comprehensive expertise in global trade policy
    , tariffs
    , and geopolitical risk assessment
  • Background supporting procurement or category management functions
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Supply Chain, Business, Political Science, or related field
  • Nice to Have

  • Experience with market intelligence platforms and trade data systems
  • Advanced forecasting or scenario modeling capabilities
  • Exposure to energy sector supply chains
  • Responsibilities

  • Monitor global commodity markets and supply-demand fundamentals impacting key categories
  • Track and analyze competing projects across pipelines, facilities, and renewable sectors
  • Develop forward-looking market outlooks and scenario-based analyses
  • Assess trade policy, tariff impacts, and regulatory changes influencing sourcing strategies
  • Analyze geopolitical developments and evaluate potential supply chain disruptions
  • Collaborate with category managers to identify vulnerabilities and define mitigation strategies
  • Deliver executive-level insights and briefings to Supply Chain Management leadership
