Job Overview
Be a part of a global Compliance Surveillance team responsible for designing and implementing surveillance scenarios and controls. In this role, you will analyze and integrate transaction data and oversee development to implement market manipulation trade surveillance scenarios and controls for RBC Capital Markets and Wealth Management businesses.
Responsibilities- Design trade surveillance scenarios and write business requirement documents.
- Analyze transaction data feeds to integrate with existing trade surveillance scenarios and identify enhancements.
- Identify data‑driven enhancements or supplements to the surveillance controls.
- Facilitate user testing of the surveillance scenarios and coordinate promotion of the scenarios to production.
- Manage the implementation of multiple concurrent projects, monitor and control activities, identify potential issues, conflicts, and risks, and present book of work status.
- Develop the annual BoW, work with Technology to define the budget, and track spend against the budget.
- Work with regional teams to define business and technology requirements for the surveillance program, including technology selection and surveillance development.
- Establish strong working relationships across Surveillance and collaborate on cross‑functional Compliance initiatives and manage the effective implementation of assigned deliverables.
Must have:
- Extensive knowledge of trade data and trade flow for wealth management trading businesses.
- Demonstrated communication skills with strong presentation abilities; ability to summarize issues, propose solutions, and determine stakeholder communication needs.
- Strong organizational, project management, and time‑management capabilities.
- Deadline‑driven and results‑oriented; able to meet consistently high‑quality standards while handling multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

- Experience with data science that enhances business processes.
- Knowledge of trade surveillance techniques and methodology.

- Some experience with communications surveillance.
