What

You’ll Do Here
  • Responsible for the management and oversight of Aecon’s formal submissions in response to RFQs, RFPs, EOIs, and Market Soundings.
  • Lead major proposal pursuits where Aecon is the lead partner in a joint venture (JV) partnership.
  • Manage Aecon submission responses when an Aecon JV partner is the pursuit lead.
  • Schedule and lead proposal/bid meetings.
  • Manage and coordinate input from other partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee and manage documents throughout the proposal process.
  • Provide regular proposal status reports.
  • Manage assigned Proposal Coordinators.
  • Help train, mentor, and develop non‑management proposal team members.
  • Prepare presentations, executive summaries, and reports as needed.
  • Package and deliver final proposal submissions on time.
  • Travel as required to work with JV partners to develop and close submissions.
  • Coordinate with Aecon’s internal graphic design team to develop critical proposal material, including JV logos, identity guidelines, and overall graphical imagery of the proposal/bid submissions.
  • Review and develop a detailed understanding of client proposal requirements.
  • Develop proposal calendars and responsibility matrices.
  • Prepare, write, edit, and format proposal sections, resumes, and project sheets.
  • Support additional content development, including with corporate Subject Matter Experts and site personnel.
  • Track and ensure timely provision of deliverables required from internal and external partners.
  • Perform compliance checks on all submittal documents.
  • Organize and run team reviews on behalf of the project team.
  • Attend pre‑bid meetings and post‑bid debrief meetings and summarize results and lessons learned as required.
  • Operate in a deadline driven environment.
  • Time allocation for this position is approximately 70% reading/writing/editing/formatting and 30% organizational related activities.
  • Other duties as required.
What You Bring To The Team
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in proposal management on major projects in the Construction Sector.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with major project development and procurement processes.
  • Excellent comprehension of content management and development practices.
  • Ability to gather, synthesize, and effectively present technical information for a range of audiences.
  • Experience working in a fast‑paced and performance driven setting.
  • Demonstrated leadership and accountability with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced communication skills (Oral and Written).
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in teams.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to plan, manage, and prioritize multiple assignments and tasks.
  • A proactive, problem‑solving attitude.
  • Travel to different job sites/locations required.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Pay Range: $90,000-$120,000
