  • Simultaneously manage multiple active client engagements or work streams, maintaining delivery quality, budget adherence, and timeline integrity across each; proactively identifying and resolving risks, issues, and competing priorities before escalation
  • Develop clear, high‑quality deliverables including strategic assessments, business cases, briefing materials, governance documents, implementation roadmaps, and executive presentations
  • Translate ambiguity into structured analysis, recommendations, and actionable plans that drive outcomes for public sector clients
  • Manage senior client relationships across municipal, provincial, and broader public sector organizations
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement sessions, executive workshops, interviews, and decision‑making forums to support transformation initiatives
  • Support business development activities including opportunity identification, proposal development, client relationship building, and sector‑specific thought leadership
  • Advise clients on organizational change, process redesign, program implementation, and service improvement in complex stakeholder environments
  • Provide day‑to‑day direction, coaching and mentoring project teams; responsible for career management, professional development, and supporting employees through Optimus S ’s Career Development Program (CDP)
  • Contribute to the life and culture of Optimus S
Qualifications
  • 5‑7 years of management consulting experience, including public sector or government clients; or 7‑10 years in government transformation, internal strategy, or public sector leadership roles
  • Experience delivering projects for municipal, provincial, or broader public sector clients
  • Experience leading teams and managing senior client stakeholders in complex, fast‑paced delivery environments
  • Experience in one or more of the following: public sector transformation, strategic planning, service modernization, PMO/project delivery, organizational design, process improvement, stakeholder engagement, or change management
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects simultaneously, with strong personal organization, prioritization, and time‑management skills in a fast‑paced, client‑driven environment
  • Familiarity with technology, data, digital transformation, AI, and related concepts and trends
  • Strong understanding of public sector environments, governance structures, and the realities of working with multiple stakeholder groups
  • Proven ability to turn strategic priorities into practical implementation plans
  • Strong facilitation and executive communication skills, including experience preparing materials for senior leadership
  • Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, writing, and communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial, collaborative, and values‑driven approach to consulting
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) at a consulting standard, personally producing client‑ready reports, executive presentations, data visualizations, and quantitative analysis, and setting the quality bar for your team
  • Bilingualism in English and French is considered a strong asset, though not required
