Reporting

to the Senior Analyst, the Business Analyst Co-op Student will assist in performing audits on process compliance within the various operations of the Utilities business unit.

Location:

Etobicoke, Head Office Duration: 12 - 16 months What You'll Do Here:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document current business processes

Observe and report deviations from standard operating procedures

Determine root causes for deviations and perform impact analyses

Present safety and utilization metrics on weekly equipment calls to operations teams

Create process documentation, including flowcharts and standard operating procedures

Identify improvement opportunities; develop and present recommendations to management and monitor their implementation

Determine what processes are being followed and if purported benefits have been realized

Work with management to develop solutions and provide value-added services for Utilities’ dynamic operational environment

What You Bring to the Team:

Must be able to work well within a team environment as well as individually

Strong organizational and time management skills with an ability to multi-task

Ability to adhere to project schedules and meet deadlines

Microsoft Office proficient – with strong Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills

Experience working with SAP is preferred

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the confidence and ability to work with all levels of staff and management within a large organization

Experience in the utilities industry an asset

Methodical and thorough approach to diagnosing problems

The expected pay range for this role is $20 - $25 per hour

Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
