Join The Miller Group as an Emergency Response Operator, focusing on urgent highway incidents and community safety. Handle equipment and respond to calls while working rotating shifts.
In this role, you will act as a first responder to emergencies on the highways, responding to incidents such as spills and bad weather. A Class DZ license is required, along with knowledge of road maintenance practices. You'll liaise with emergency services, implement safety measures, and assist in maintaining infrastructure. Your mechanical aptitude and commitment to safety are essential in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage emergency incidents effectively with urgency
• Collaborate with OPP, Toronto Fire, and EMS
• Operate graders, mowers, and service trucks
• Maintain accurate documentation of incidents
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and repairs
Requirements:
• Class DZ license essential
• Familiarity with OTM book 7
• Mechanical skills for equipment handling
• Availability for various shifts
• Capacity to lift 50lbs when necessary
