Overview
Amazon Canada's Hardlines team is seeking a self‑driven Vendor Manager. Vendor managers work directly with vendors to improve value, selection and convenience for customers, while managing strategic and established brands to drive profitability and topline performance for the category.

This role is responsible for leading key categories and brand relationships for and driving business growth. Responsibilities include building strong vendor and brand relationships, contract negotiations, selection and catalog management, inventory optimization, forecast generation, product launches, pricing, and detailed analysis to identify growth opportunities. As the P&L owner, the Vendor Manager will work cross‑functionally with product, marketing and operations teams to raise the bar on customer experience.
BasicQualifications
- 3+ years of work with Excel
- 5+ years of retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with negotiations and results delivery experience
- Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience managing large data sets and utilizing them to drive performance and process improvements
- Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development
- Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows or customer experiences
- Experience using generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency and willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices

Compensation and BenefitsThe base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications and location. Amazon offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, basic life & ADØD insurance), Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), paid time off and other resources to improve health and well‑being.
