The Opportunity:

At Sunwing Vacations, we make vacation dreams come true, and our Product team plays a critical role in delivering competitive, high quality, and profitable vacation experiences. We are currently seeking a Product Buyer – Contracting & Hotels to join our team. This role plays a key part in supporting sales performance, margin, and product quality through effective negotiation, forecasting, and cross‑functional collaboration.

This position offers exposure to strategic contracting, data‑driven decision making, and supplier performance management, with opportunities for growth into senior contracting or product leadership roles. This position reports to the Product Support Director, and is based in Toronto, ON.

What You’ll Do:
  • Negotiate and manage hotel contracts, rates, inventory, and commercial terms
  • Ensure contract accuracy, compliance, and alignment with company standards
  • Build and maintain strong long‑term supplier relationships
  • Monitor daily sales performance, forecast pacing, and destination profitability
  • Identify risks, opportunities, and margin improvement actions
  • Produce monthly rate analysis and performance reporting
  • Partner with Sales, Inventory, Operations, Revenue, Marketing, Payload to promote packages
  • Communicate short‑term product or risk changes to internal stakeholders
  • Support Accounting invoicing and inventory operational resolutions
  • Maintain in‑depth destination and hotel knowledge
  • Support product training, FAM trips, and staff travel initiatives
  • Proactively monitor pricing and anticipate market trends and contact partners for special pricing and conditions
  • Conduct ongoing coaching and quality check on contractual changes
  • Ensure accuracy of pricing and availability in system (TTS) and Sirev
  • Support and mentor the Product Specialists
  • Problem‑solving hotel connectivity related technical obstacles
  • Support Directors including trade shows, preparation, attendance, follow up
  • Meet with partners on an ongoing basis
  • Other duties as assigned
What You’ll Need:
  • 3–5 years’ experience in travel, product, contracting, or supplier management.
  • Degree in Travel and Tourism is an asset as knowledge and understanding of products related to tourism is required.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and commercial decision‑making skills
  • Advanced Excel and data reporting capabilities
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with TTS / Soft Voyage preferred
  • Knowledge of TICO regulations pertaining to tour operator
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English is an asset
  • Travel as required
