Strategy Corp is seeking an Intern for its Institute of Public Policy and Economy in Toronto. Our ideal candidate is an up-and-coming professional who shares our passion for delving into complex issues that require strategic thinking and developing leading-edge thought leadership.
Strategy Corp has a fast-paced environment where an intern will have the opportunity to learn a lot. Reporting to the Executive Director and Chief Economist of the Institute, the Intern will be responsible for conducting deep research, analyzing a wide array of quantitative data, performing economic impact analysis, drafting high quality deliverables for clients and the Strategy Corp website, and assisting with new business proposal development.
The Intern will also support the development of the Institute’s editorial calendar and podcast series.
To be successful you will need to possess:
- A degree in Economics, Business, Political Science, or an equivalent
- Excellent writing with superior attention to detail - particularly taking complex subjects and relaying them in clear and concise ways
- Critical and strategic thinking skills, and aptitude for problem solving
- Strong quantitative analysis skills with an ability to identify and communicate trends in the data
- Solid understanding of political economy
- Ability to work flexibly, often to tight deadlines
- Proven capacity to thrive in a high-pressure environment
- Experience working within project teams to meet client deliverables and timelines
- Experienced in collaborating in teams with a mix of skills and experience levels to deliver outstanding client service and product quality
- Experienced in developing substantive and visually appealing reports and presentations in a variety of media
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Power BI)
- Knowledge of economic impact analysis is an asset
- Interest in government and politics is an asset
