Governance and Strategy strengthens enterprise alignment, decision-making and accountability by connecting CIHI’s governance, strategy, planning, performance and risk management practices. Reporting to the Program Lead, Governance and Strategy, the Governance and Strategy Specialist provides strategic, analytical and operational expertise across the Governance and Strategy portfolio. Depending on assigned responsibilities, this may include corporate governance and policy management, strategy development, integrated planning and reporting, corporate performance measurement, strategic risk and compliance, funder accountability reporting, and secretariat support to senior management, executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
The Specialist leads the delivery, day-to-day management and continuous improvement of assigned corporate processes and products. This includes conducting research and analysis, developing advice and recommendations, coordinating cross-functional work, preparing high-quality governance and decision-support materials, and supporting the implementation of enterprise priorities. Working in a matrix environment, the Specialist builds effective relationships with leaders and teams across CIHI. The role translates complex information into clear insights, strengthens organizational practices and helps ensure that governance and strategy processes are focused on enabling effective execution of CIHI’s mandate.
