Be a change-maker at VIA Rail as a Senior Advisor in Indigenous Relations. Lead a crucial initiative impacting 80 communities while supporting sustainable mobility solutions in Canada.

VIA Rail welcomes applications for its Senior Advisor, Indigenous Relations role. This position is critical for driving VIA Rail's engagement with Indigenous communities, specifically along the Winnipeg to Churchill corridor. With a focus on partnership, you will develop strategies that align business objectives with the needs of Indigenous groups and support corporate goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and develop an Indigenous Relations action plan

• Construct relationships with Indigenous communities and organizations

• Guide senior management on strategic engagements with communities

• Create effective communication materials for Indigenous stakeholders

• Analyze community landscapes to identify strategic opportunities

Requirements:

• Degree in Political Science, Communications, or similar

• Approximately 10 years of government relations experience

• Excellent bilingual communication skills in English and French

• Proven experience in crisis management and strategic assessment

• Flexibility to travel and adapt to varying hours as needed
