Commercial Excellence Analyst (Toronto, On-Site)
About the Role

We are seeking a Commercial Excellence Analyst to support our sales operations, reporting, and data processes. This is an individual contributor role based on-site in Toronto, reporting directly to the General Manager and working closely with the Sales and Finance teams.

Role

Summary:

In this position, you will own and evolve critical sales operations processes – from sales performance reporting to CRM data governance – with a forward-looking focus. Roughly 70% of your time will center on strategic analysis, business insight generation, and AI process innovation, with the remaining 30% ensuring continuity and oversight of essential operational tasks. You will partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product/Pricing, and IT teams to drive continuous improvement, automation, and strategic decision support across our commercial functions.

Reporting & Analysis Support
  • Sales & Commercial Reporting: Prepare regular sales and performance reports, help track trends, and support the team with analysis for business reviews and decision-making.
  • Data Accuracy & Maintenance: Maintain sales and customer data in CRM and related systems, perform data checks, and help resolve data issues with internal stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement Support: Identify opportunities to improve reporting and administrative processes, and support implementation of simple automation or workflow improvements.
Operational Support
  • Reporting Continuity: Ensure recurring reports and dashboards are delivered accurately and on time, and flag issues when they arise.
  • Pricing Support: Assist with price list updates, margin tracking, and basic pricing analysis in partnership with Product and Finance teams.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with Sales, Finance, Marketing, Product, and IT teams to support reporting needs, resolve data issues, and improve process consistency.
Reliable Reporting
  • You consistently deliver accurate and timely reports that support the sales and leadership teams.
Improved Data Quality
  • Sales and customer data is more accurate and better maintained, with fewer errors and follow-up corrections needed.
Process Efficiency
  • You help improve at least a few recurring reports or workflows, reducing manual effort and improving consistency.
Strong Team Support
  • You build good working relationships across teams and become a dependable resource for reporting, data, and sales operations support.
  • 2–3 years of experience in sales operations, reporting, business analysis, finance support, or a similar analytical role.
Analytical Skills
  • Comfortable working with data, preparing reports, and identifying trends or inconsistencies.
Commercial Understanding
  • Basic understanding of sales processes, pricing, and business reporting is an asset.
Systems & Tools
  • Experience with Excel and CRM systems is preferred. Exposure to reporting tools or automation tools is a plus.
Working Style
  • Organized, detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to learn. Able to manage recurring tasks while supporting improvement opportunities.
Compensation

starting at $75,000.00 - Salary negotiable and commensurate with experience for more senior level applicants.
