Job Description
As Senior Manager, HR Strategy & Enablement, you will be part of a dynamic team that helps set the strategic direction for the HR function. The Senior Manager, HR Strategy & Enablement, will also support senior executives in key business operations, and partner across HR to activate, integrate and communicate strategic initiatives to ensure HR is positioned for continued success.
What will you do?- Help drive the activation of our HR Strategy and strategic planning process, including building HR’s capabilities, as well as assisting in the prioritization of HR initiatives.
- Support the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and HR Brand, Marketing, Communications & Citizenship Operating Committee (HR-BMCC OC) with engagement on HR Strategy and other key strategic priorities, as well as the preparation of Board and related materials.
- Take end-to-end ownership of work streams on strategic initiatives. This may entail conducting primary and secondary research, analysis of large datasets, collaborating with other RBC functions and platforms, and working closely with our Employee Experience Design and Insights (EXDI) team.
- Build high-standard presentations, reports, and dashboards for senior leadership to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
- Bachelor's or graduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Data Science, or equivalent professional experience demonstrating strategic impact.
- 5+ years of experience in strategy, management consulting, or enterprise HR roles with proven success leading complex, multi-functional initiatives at scale.
- Proven track record of translating ambiguous business problems into testable hypotheses and data-driven recommendations for C-suite audiences.
- Proven track record of designing primary and secondary research to validate strategic assumptions and inform enterprise decisions. Ability to sense-check findings against business reality.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization. Experience with SQL, Python, R, or equivalent tools for data manipulation and hands‑on experience with business intelligence platforms (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) for dashboard design and reporting is highly desirable.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills with the ability to distil complex analytical findings into clear, compelling narratives for senior executives.
- Demonstrated success building high-impact presentations, reports, and visual assets that drive decision‑making and influence stakeholder alignment.
- Proven ability to lead cross‑functional work streams end‑to‑end while managing ambiguity, tight timelines, and competing priorities with discipline and transparency.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel at expert level; Word; PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge of emerging productivity tools, including Large Language Models for task automation and work product augmentation.
- Exposure to leading‑edge strategy, enablement and communications work for RBC’s global Human Resources group.
