About the Role

The Director of Business Operations serves as a senior strategic partner to the CEO
, responsible for driving organizational alignment, managing cross‑functional initiatives, and ensuring the executive’s priorities are executed effectively. The role blends strategy

Core Responsibilities Strategic Planning & Execution
  • Lead annual and quarterly strategic planning cycles, ensuring goals, KPIs, and priorities are clearly defined.
  • Translate executive vision into actionable roadmaps and cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Monitor organizational performance, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions.
Executive Advisory & Decision Support
  • Provide the CEO with data‑driven insights, briefing materials, and decision frameworks.
  • Prepare executive‑level presentations, board materials, and strategic memos.
  • Act as a sounding board for high‑impact decisions and confidential matters.
Cross‑Functional Leadership
  • Lead or oversee special projects, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
  • Resolve cross‑team bottlenecks and elevate issues proactively.
Internal & External Communications
  • Draft executive communications, speeches, and organizational updates.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships with partners, investors, and senior leaders.
  • Ensure consistent messaging across the organization.
Operational Excellence
  • Optimize internal processes, meeting cadences, and executive workflows.
  • Oversee the rhythm of the business: leadership meetings, offsites, quarterly reviews.
  • Implement systems for tracking priorities, KPIs, and strategic initiatives.
People & Culture
  • Partner with HR on leadership development, organizational design, and hiring.
  • Support culture‑building initiatives and employee engagement programs.
  • Mentor emerging leaders and high‑potential talent.
Confidential & Sensitive Matters
  • Handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Manage crisis response, sensitive negotiations, and executive‑level conflict resolution.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree & master’s degree (MBA) is required.
  • 7+ years of experience in strategy, consulting, operations, or leadership roles.
  • Experience working directly with senior executives.
  • Proven track record of leading cross‑functional initiatives.
Preferred Skills
  • Background in Startups, SaaS, or service‑based businesses.
  • Experience working in fractional or consulting roles.
  • Familiarity with tools like Hub Spot, Asana, Notion, Salesforce, or BI platforms.
Pay range and compensation package
  • CAD $100,000 - $120,000 + 15% performance-based bonus
  • Automatic eligibility to participate in the Company’s stock option plan after six (6) months of continuous employment.
  • This position is 5 days in Office in Mississauga, ON
