We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Product Manager to lead our work in the Home Equity Finance portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the roadmap and delivery of applied AI solutions to reimagine the mortgage journey. You will work at the intersection of AI and financial services, leveraging innovative technologies to create user‑centric products. You’ll work with business partners, world‑class research and engineering teams to discover and align on the optimal solution to transform the mortgage business here at RBC, and ensure our technical teams are laser‑focused on producing solutions that drive transformational outcomes.

responsibilities include:
  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop product vision, positioning, value proposition that supports AI understanding, business prioritization, and adoption of solutions;
    • Identify market opportunities and define the product roadmap, focusing on innovative solutions that leverage AI technologies to solve real‑world problems;
    • Set ambitious objectives and key results (OKRs) to measure product success and drive continuous improvement;
  • Product Development:
    • Lead the end‑to‑end product development process, from ideation to launch, ensuring timely and successful delivery of high‑quality products;
    • Work closely with AI researchers and engineers to translate complex technical concepts into products that drives business value and adoption;
    • Implement agile methodologies to ensure flexibility, rapid iteration, and responsiveness to feedback;
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across Borealis and RBC, fostering collaboration and alignment towards a shared vision;
    • Influence and inspire cross‑functional teams, including business owners, operations, legal, and compliance, to ensure seamless product execution;
    • Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress effectively to senior leadership and other stakeholders, ensuring transparency and buy‑in;
  • Innovation and Entrepreneurship:
    • Foster a culture of innovation within the product team, encouraging creative thinking and the exploration of new ideas;
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to integrate AI advancements into your strategy;
    • Champion a test‑and‑learn approach, promoting experimentation and the use of data to drive decision‑making.
You're our ideal candidate if you have:
  • 8+ years of product management experience in a top‑tier technology company or large enterprise, with a focus on AI/ML‑based products
  • In‑depth experience of a managing a product throughout its entire lifecycle within a large, matrixed enterprise
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross‑functional teams, fostering collaboration and driving alignment
  • Exception communication, presentation, interpersonal skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and a proactive approach to problem‑solving
  • Familiar with AI/ML concepts, data‑driven mindset, familiar with system evaluation, monitoring and optimization
  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand and discuss architectural concepts, trade‑offs, and new opportunities with technical team members
