Job DescriptionTD Securities is seeking a relationship-focused leader to build and scale the TD Securities Alumni Council, a strategic network of former TD leaders, executives, board members, and industry influencers.
This role will serve as the primary relationship manager for the Alumni Council, deepening engagement with a curated network of senior alumni while creating opportunities that strengthen TD Securities' client franchise, board connectivity, market influence, and executive network.
The successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of TD Securities, Capital Markets, and the broader CIB ecosystem, along with established relationships across the organization. They will leverage this knowledge and network to connect alumni with business priorities, facilitate executive engagement, and help identify opportunities that create value for both TD and its alumni community.
The Director will work closely with senior leaders across TD Securities, including executive sponsors of the Alumni Council, to develop and execute a long-term alumni engagement strategy. The role combines relationship management, stakeholder coordination, strategic planning, executive engagement, and business development.
The Director will also align closely with the Senior Manager supporting the broader Enterprise Alumni Strategy and the proposed Alumni Association, ensuring the TD Securities Alumni Council is coordinated with the enterprise alumni agenda, governance model, operating rhythm, and future-state alumni engagement approach.
Key ResponsibilitiesAlumni Council Leadership
- Lead the day-to-day management and evolution of the TD Securities Alumni Council.
- Develop and execute annual Alumni Council engagement plans and strategic priorities.
- Coordinate Council meetings, executive events, and targeted engagement opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to expand and strengthen Council membership with high-impact alumni.
- Maintain ongoing coverage of key alumni relationships and engagement activities.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with a curated network of former TD leaders, executives, board members, and influencers.
- Act as the primary point of contact between TD Securities leadership and Alumni Council members.
- Maintain regular outreach to alumni and ensure connectivity to firm priorities and leadership initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to deepen alumni engagement through executive interactions, conferences, thought leadership events, and industry forums.
- Track alumni career progression, leadership moves, board appointments, and areas of influence.
- Develop and support TD’s broader board strategy initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with executive search firms, governance organizations, board networks, and board advisory firms.
- Create and maintain an inventory of priority boards, target sectors, and governance opportunities.
- Identify alumni and TD leaders who may be candidates for board placements.
- Support senior leadership in facilitating introductions and board-related opportunities.
- Maintain visibility into board trends, governance developments, and emerging opportunities for TD and its alumni network.
- Identify opportunities where alumni relationships can support business development, executive introductions, client engagement, talent attraction, and strategic partnerships.
- Partner with Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, Global Markets, Corporate Access, and Coverage teams to leverage alumni connectivity.
- Facilitate strategic introductions between alumni, clients, prospects, investors, board members, and TD executives.
- Provide relationship intelligence and market insights to senior leadership and coverage teams.
- Support targeted engagement activities tied to priority sectors, strategic clients, and key industry themes.
- Build and maintain a centralized Alumni Council database and relationship management framework.
