Interim Program Executive

Our client, a Toronto-based organization in a highly regulated industry, is undertaking a complex capital program central to its long-term strategy. To ensure governance, delivery, and stakeholder alignment, the company is seeking an Interim Program Executive with strong program management expertise to provide both oversight and hands-on leadership.

This is a 18-month interim mandate designed to bring stability, structure, and measurable results during a critical period. The successful candidate will be a seasoned interim executive who can quickly integrate, establish credibility, and drive disciplined execution, combining executive presence with practical program management depth.

• Provide governance and leadership of a mission-critical program, ensuring it remains on track against objectives
• Drive day-to-day program management discipline, including monitoring of milestones, budgets, and risks.
• Align diverse stakeholders, fostering collaboration, transparency, and accountability.
• Support executive decision-making, enabling rapid resolution of issues and maintaining program momentum.
• Embed best practices in program management, governance, and performance reporting.

• Program delivered with clarity, control, and measurable business value.
• Risks proactively identified, escalated, and mitigated.
• Stakeholders consistently aligned, avoiding delays or missteps.
• A governance framework that ensures transparency and disciplined execution.

• Proven track record leading large-scale capital or infrastructure programs, ideally in regulated sectors.
• Strong background in both program governance and program management execution.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments with competing priorities.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Independent consultant or interim executive profile strongly preferred, with the ability to deliver measurable impact quickly.
