Established multi-site Childcare Operator seeks an Assistant Teacher for a vacant position at our Children Are People Child Care Centre location.
Position:Full Time
Qualifications and Requirements:- Current certification in Standard First Aid and CPR - AED Level C
- Current and Clear Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)
- Complete Toronto Public Health Medical and Immunization requirements
- Warm and Energetic individual who has the ability to work with Children of all ages, experience with any age group is an asset.
- Must possess strong initiative and organizational skills and have a positive attitude
- Dependable and Flexible - arrives on time and ready to commence work as scheduled
- Communicate effectively and professionally with Children, Staff and Parents, ICSC Management, and any other Governing Agencies
- Must have general knowledge of Childcare Operations and an ability to comply with all the requirements from CCEYA/AQI/TPH/ICSG [incl. TDSB Policies and Procedures for sites located in TDSB]
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as in a team environment.
- Has the ability to implement an Early Childhood Program as per requirements set out by governing agencies
- Maintain Room control with positive Behaviour Management Strategies
- Ability to plan and implement a program
- Working Knowledge of the Lillio Application (Parent Portal)
- Experience with laptop/tablet use to program and record Children’s profiles
- Early Childhood Education Diploma or Equivalency (not required)
- ECA Certificate (Not required)
- Any relevant experience working with Children (not required)
- 8 hours/day [40 hours/week]
- Centre Hours of Operation are 7:00am - 6:00pm
