This is primarily a hybrid role with scheduled team collaboration required at the Wayfair HQ Copley Office in Boston, MA, up to 4 times per year. The required team core hours are 9am-5pm EST.

Wayfair’s Visual AI Digital Creative team is pioneering the future of home visualization. We leverage advanced generative AI workflows, 3D rendering, automated content pipelines, and creative artistry to deliver immersive, dynamic, and scalable visual experiences for millions of customers. We are seeking a Digital Artist who thrives at the intersection of creativity and technology. We view AI not just as a tool, but as a medium.

You will help define how AI systems generate high-quality product visuals and storytelling at scale — from concept to final render.

• Generate photoreal imagery and video using leading AI tools (e.g., Comfy
  
  UI, Flora, Weavy, Runway, etc.)
• Develop custom AI workflows for ideation, visual enhancement, image-to-3D exploration, and large-batch automation
• Enhance AI outputs with 2D applications (Nuke, Adobe Creative Cloud, Resolve)
• Research, test, and document emerging methods to improve speed, quality, and realism in generative visuals
• Create high-quality 3D content including environment layouts, materials, lighting, and compelling camera compositions
• Apply advanced 3D rendering techniques to deliver visually consistent, photoreal imagery across large product catalogs
• Perform 2D compositing using Nuke and related tools to enhance, integrate, and finalize imagery for deployment across multiple platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative visual storytelling for marketing, product pages, and future shopping experiences

• Functional knowledge of 3D DCCs (Maya, Vray) and workflows.
• Experience using production tracking systems (Shot Grid, Flow, Ftrack)
• Professional experience creating imagery or video using 3D and/or generative AI tools and workflows
• Strong understanding of composition, lighting, and digital creation fundamentals
• Proficiency in 2D finishing and compositing workflows (Nuke preferred)
• Strong Adobe Creative Cloud skills (Photoshop required; After Effects a plus)
• A portfolio demonstrating a mix of creativity, technical ability, and problem-solving in digital media

• Familiarity with advanced Generative AI Image & Video workflows
• Experience with 3D animation, asset creation, lighting and compositing
• Familiarity with real-time or visualization tools (Unreal Engine, Unity)
• Knowledge of P  material standards and advanced rendering concepts
• Experience contributing to automation or pipeline improvements
• Background in photography, cinematography, video editing, animation, or motion design
