POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Copywriter at Grey you are a master storyteller, a wordsmith who can turn strategic insights into compelling narratives that drive action and build brands. With 5+ years of experience in an agency environment, you will be a driving force behind the verbal identity of our clients, collaborating seamlessly with an Art Director to craft groundbreaking, cross‑channel campaigns. Reporting to the Creative Director, you'll be instrumental in creating buzz‑worthy social media content and unforgettable brand stunts, consistently delivering persuasive, on‑brand copy that captivates and converts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Strategic Narrative Development: Lead the conceptualization and crafting of impactful copy for pitches, major campaigns, and special projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Multi‑Channel Expertise: Develop compelling copy for a wide range of platforms, including highly engaging social media campaigns, long‑form content, brand manifestos, video scripts, headlines, taglines, OOH, and experiential activations.
  • Brand Stunt Innovation: Play a pivotal role in ideating and executing the verbal components of innovative brand stunts that generate buzz and media attention.
  • Voice & Tone Authority: Own and evolve brand voices, ensuring consistency and distinctiveness across all channels while continuously pushing for fresh, unexpected, and persuasive communication.
  • Creative Project Leadership &

    Collaboration:

    Guide verbal development on projects, providing support to junior copywriters and collaborating effectively across teams to elevate overall creative output.
  • Client & Internal Presentations: Lead client presentations, confidently articulating creative rationale and engaging stakeholders with the power of your ideas and words.
  • Concept Generation: Drive brainstorming sessions, consistently generating fresh, culturally relevant, and strategically sound concepts that can be executed across diverse media.
  • Industry & Cultural Fluency: Remain deeply curious about global creative trends, pop culture, social media nuances, and emerging technologies, integrating these insights into client work to keep brands relevant and engaging.
  • Collaborative Partnership: Work in perfect synergy with Art Directors, ensuring a cohesive and powerful connection between copy and visuals that maximizes campaign impact.
  • Quality & Efficiency: Deliver highly polished, error‑free copy that is strategically aligned and on‑brand, minimizing revisions and maximizing efficiency.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
  • Experience: 5+ years of dedicated copywriting experience within a well‑established advertising agency, with a proven track record of successful campaigns.
  • Portfolio: A strong, conceptual portfolio that clearly demonstrates creative prowess, versatility across channels, and significant success in developing social media campaigns and contributing to impactful brand stunts.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, Journalism, English, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strategic Storyteller: A master of persuasive writing, capable of distilling complex ideas into clear, compelling, and emotionally resonant narratives that drive desired outcomes.
  • Digital & Social Native: Deep expertise in crafting copy specifically for digital and social media platforms, understanding platform nuances, audience behaviors, and engagement metrics.
  • Project Leadership &

    Collaboration:

    Proven ability to lead creative projects, inspire creative output, and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Presentation & Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with extensive experience presenting complex ideas and rationale to clients and internal teams.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of marketing objectives and how creative strategy and copy contribute to business growth and client success, including pitch deck development.
  • Adaptability: Proven ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment, managing multiple projects with grace and precision.
