About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity to support our Marketing team as a Senior Manager, Digital Content based in Toronto, Canada. W e’re looking for apassionate, culturally tuned‑in creative leader to shape the future of Subway’s social presence in Canada. This person lives and breathes digital culture, someone who is energized by creativity, obsessed with great storytelling, and excited by the pace and personality of social media.

They will be responsible for leading our social media platforms and steering our digital content vision, ensuring Subway shows up in ways that feel modern, human, and deeply connected to Canadian culture. This is a role for someone who doesn’t just follow trends, they understand why they matter and how brands can meaningfully participate.

The person we’re looking for:

  • A creative thinker with strong instincts. Someone who sees content opportunities everywhere and isn’t afraid to push ideas forward.
  • A social expert who understands platform nuance. They know what works on Tik Tok vs. Instagram vs. You Tube, because they’re already immersed in those spaces.
  • Deeply connected to culture. They understand local market audiences and know how brands can tap into cultural moments authentically.
  • A storyteller lled at turning brand messages into entertaining, thumb‑stopping narratives.
  • Collaborative and inspiring. Works well with creatives, strategists, production partners, and cross‑functional teams to bring bold ideas to life.
  • Data‑aware, not data‑driven. They use insights to inform creativity.

What this person will lead:

The strategic and creative direction of Subway Canada’s social media & digital platforms:

  • Development and production of digital-first creative content.
  • Always‑on social storytelling that builds brand love.
  • Cultural partnerships, creator engagement, and content experimentation.
  • Real‑time responses and participation in trends, moments, and conversations.
  • Role will support Integrated Marketing campaigns, including TV, Radio, OOH and other activations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in digital marketing (media, creative, etc.) and Social Media.
  • Creative agency experience is preferred as we execute a large volume of creative campaigns a year. Ability to brief, evaluate and execute integrated creative (TV, Radio, OOH, Digital, Social Media).
  • Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi‑task, prioritize and work well under tight timelines.
  • Excellent written and oral communications.
  • Strong understanding of digital media best practices as well as industry knowledge.
  • Experience with SEO, keyword search, and other digital marketing principles.
  • Experience with Google AdWords, Analytics, etc.
  • Must be a team player with the ability to work collaboratively with all levels within the Subway® organization.
  • Onsite position in our Toronto office 2 days per week, advertising partner 1 day per week and photo shoots, as needed.

Compensation:
The base pay range for this role is $122,900 – $153,600 CAD annually

Actual pay is determined based on a number of job‑related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, qualifications, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
