Copywriters are the core creative engines y’re big thinkers and bold makers. They dream up and deliver standout ideas under the guidance of senior creatives, blending sharp conceptual thinking with polished execution. Naturally curious and relentlessly inventive, they embrace tools like generative AI to supercharge their craft. They think beyond channels, beyond trends—pushing ideas into uncharted territory. Transparency matters to us. For this role, you can expect a salary between $70, annually, depending on experience. This is for an existing vacancy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Copy Concept Generation: Collaborate with Art Directors to spark bold, cross-platform campaign ideas—from TV to Tik Tok. Embrace cutting-edge tools like generative AI to craft headlines, test copy angles, and fuel fast, fresh content.
- Research: Conduct research to gather information and insights necessary for effective copy across different briefs and channels.
- Writing & Editing: Craft sharp, compelling copy—from headlines to social posts—tailored to each channel and optimized to grab attention and drive action.
- Brand Voice Application: Adapt writing style to match different brand voices and target audiences across various platforms.
- Strategic Interpretation: Understand and interpret creative briefs and strategic direction to inform copy development, considering basic channel implications.
- Craftsmanship: Polish every word to be sharp, accurate, and emotionally on point. Use expert judgment to refine all copy—including AI-assisted text—for grammar, nuance, and channel-specific impact.
- Presentation Support: Craft clear, strategic copy for internal and client decks, showing a sharp grasp of how messaging works across every channel.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in an advertising agency, internship, or related creative field.
- A portfolio (student and/or professional) demonstrating raw talent, conceptual promise, and a passion for advertising, with an understanding of how ideas can translate across different channels.
- Strong writing and grammar skills that make the strategy and message sing.
- Hunger to learn, drive to deliver, and a team player.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to take and action constructive feedback.
- Curiosity about brands, culture, and human behaviour, and how they interact across different media touchpoints.
- Curious and adaptable with a grasp of generative AI and a drive to explore modern tools that elevate multi-channel creativity.
- Awareness of the importance of human oversight and ethical considerations when using new technologies like generative AI.
