Ecom North is Canada’s leading DTC-focused events and membership organization. We run must-attend summits across four markets and operate two founder communities for DTC operators who take their business seriously.

We’re hiring a creative who builds things. Someone who can produce ad creative that performs, grow social accounts people actually follow, and write copy that sounds like a human wrote it. You’ll own how Ecom North shows up across every paid and organic touchpoint.

What You’ll Own Creative & Ad Production
  • Produce ad creatives for Meta: short-form video, static, carousel, UGC-style
  • Write hooks, ad copy, and CTAs for every asset
  • Build a testing framework to find winning angles fast and kill what isn’t working
  • Brief and direct designers and video editors when production is outsourced
Organic Social
  • Own and grow Ecom North’s Instagram and Linked In
  • Develop content pillars that serve the DTC founder community: event content, founder spotlights, industry insights, behind-the-scenes
  • Produce short-form video content repurposed from events, podcasts, and original shoots
  • Track what drives reach and engagement and adjust accordingly
Copywriting
  • Write copy for landing pages, email campaigns, paid and organic social, and SMS
  • Own the weekly Ecom North Insider newsletter: one founder story, one partner story, must-know DTC news
  • Write with a voice that’s editorial and warm, not corporate
What We’re Looking For
  • A portfolio of ad creatives and social content you made. This is non-negotiable.
  • 2+ years producing or directing paid social creative with results you can point to
  • Proven track record growing an Instagram or Linked In account with a real audience
  • Strong copywriting across formats: short-form, long-form, email, video scripts
  • Familiarity with Meta Ads Manager to read performance data and brief creative
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple content streams and deadlines at once
Nice to Have
  • Based in Toronto or within driving distance to help with our in-person events
  • Experience marketing events, conferences, or community memberships
  • A genuine interest in DTC ecommerce and the founder community
  • Video editing skills (Cap Cut, Premiere, or similar)
  • Experience with email platforms like Klaviyo or Mailchimp Who You Are

    Your portfolio shows work you’re proud of and results you can explain. You have written copy that converted, made ads that performed, and built content people actually followed. You are as comfortable behind a camera as you are behind a keyboard. You care about craft, the right word, the right hook, the right story angle, and you hold yourself accountable to whether it worked.

    You want to be somewhere with a real audience, a strong brand, and the room to make your mark on it.
