We’re looking for an individual with outstanding attention to detail who can spot errors, enforce brand guidelines, and maintain consistency across all digital communications.

What you'll do
  • Work with a team of writers to ensure creative campaigns adhere to the client’s style and brand guidelines.
  • Review and revise AI‑generated content for accuracy and quality, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and syntax.
  • Ensure correct tone, voice, clarity, flow, and structure of content.
  • Support quality assurance within the creative team by proofreading documents accurately and reviewing final deliverables against the original copy to ensure it’s free of errors.
  • Update internal brand resources in our AI tools and internal systems as necessary, including nuance guides and other resources.
  • Communicate and work with creative and client services teams to ensure projects stay on track and timelines are met.
  • Stay up to date on all brand nuances and TOV guidance.
  • Manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines.
What we are looking for
  • 5+ years of experience as a Copy Editor at an agency, publication, or internal brand team.
  • Experience in the digital marketing space with AI tools a plus.
  • Expert attention to detail, able to identify and correct stylistic, grammatical, and typographical errors.
  • Readiness to work at a fast pace on large marketing campaigns with multiple assets.
  • An understanding of the importance of consistency across different touchpoints of a user journey.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized and able to work independently.
We offer
  • A flexible, hybrid/remote working policy.
  • An excellent salary based on experience and equal pay policies.
  • Mental health support and company sick pay scheme.
  • 15 days paid holiday annually, plus public holidays.
  • Refreshments provided in the office all week.
  • Enhanced family‑friendly policies to support new parents.
  • Social and cultural events and opportunities to connect with colleagues.
  • Inspirational talks with regular guest speakers and events.
  • Learning and development opportunities.
  • Buddy programme to support new hires.
  • A reputation for doing good; DEPT® is a Certified B Corp and has been named Agency of the Year at major awards.
  • Opportunity to work with clients of all sizes and across industries.
  • Global annual DEPT® Cares Month, where employees give back to local charities.

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $60,000 – $70,000 CAD.
