Join the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) in Toronto as a Copyright & Licensing Assistant. Support licensed artistic works while engaging in rich research projects in a vibrant cultural setting.
This Temporary Full-Time position involves key responsibilities such as conducting research on copyright matters and assisting with licensing agreements for various works in the AGO Collection. You will negotiate reproduction fees and support exhibition needs, collaborating closely with colleagues to enhance access to the collection.
Key Responsibilities:
• Research copyright for artworks and exhibitions
• Assist with negotiation of licensing agreements
• Maintain comprehensive records of licensing requests
• Process external requests for copyright clearances
• Contribute to departmental projects and solutions
Requirements:
• Solid understanding of copyright legislation
• Proven experience with rights and reproduction requests
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and TMS
• Strong interpersonal and project management skills
• Bilingual in French is an asset
