About the RoleWe are looking for a dynamic and experienced Host / Co‑Host to help lead the next evolution of a national, live daytime talk show. This is an opportunity for a confident, versatile broadcaster who thrives in live television and brings warmth, intelligence, and curiosity to conversations that resonate with Canadians. As a key on‑air leader, you will shape engaging discussions across lifestyle, culture, current events, and human‑interest storytelling—connecting with audiences across broadcast and digital platforms.
On‑AirLeadership
- Anchor daily live broadcasts, setting tone, pace, and energy.
- Lead segments and interviews with authenticity and confidence.
- Interview a wide range of guests—from celebrities and experts to everyday Canadians.
- Navigate live, time-sensitive and breaking content with composure.
- Partner with producers and editorial teams on show direction and storytelling.
- Contribute creative ideas for segments and audience‑driven content.
- Participate in editorial meetings and daily run‑throughs.
- Apply strong news judgment while maintaining an accessible, engaging voice.
- Build trust with a broad daytime audience.
- Represent the show and Corus with professionalism on‑air and off‑air.
- Engage audiences across social, digital, and emerging platforms.
- Integrate branded content in a natural, editorially appropriate way.
- Collaborate closely with co‑hosts, contributors, and production teams.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high‑performing team environment.
- Adapt quickly to evolving formats, topics, and audience needs.
- Proven experience hosting or co‑hosting a National live television broadcast (daytime, news, lifestyle, or talk preferred).
- Strong interview skills with over 7 years of experience conducting celebrity and high‑profile interviews, demonstrating the ability to build authentic connections with diverse guests.
- Confidence working live: ad‑libbing, improvising, and thinking on your feet.
- Broad curiosity across current events, entertainment, lifestyle, and culture.
- Experience engaging audiences beyond linear TV (social, digital, streaming).
- A polished on‑air presence balanced with warmth, relatability, and credibility.
- Engaging, quick‑thinking, and emotionally intelligent.
- Calm under pressure in fast‑paced, live environments.
- Collaborative and editorially responsible.
- Naturally curious and genuinely interested in people and stories.
- Shape the next chapter of a well‑known daytime brand.
