Senior UX​/UI Designer at Ontario Government

Enhance digital services for the Ontario Government as a Senior UX/UI Designer. This on-site, 12-month contract in Toronto focuses on creating inclusive and user-friendly designs.
We're looking for a seasoned Senior UX/UI Designer who can translate complex user needs into clear interaction designs. You will partner with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of cohesive visual identity and implement accessibility standards in every process. Your leadership will support junior designers and elevate overall design quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct user research and translate findings into design decisions

• Create prototypes to validate ideas and facilitate user testing

• Lead visual design enhancements and refine product consistency

• Collaborate with teams to influence design direction and priorities

• Coach junior designers to improve design maturity
Requirements:

• Proven background in UX/UI and graphic design

• Proficiency in Figma, Axure, and Miro

• Experience with low and high-fidelity prototyping

• Strong understanding of design systems

• Accessibility design experience is essential
