PlayME and Expect Theatre are seeking a Teaching Assistant to support the delivery of New Narratives
, an audio storytelling and podcast creation program for high school students in downtown Toronto.
- 12-week program (September–December 2026)
- Locations: 2 Downtown high schools
- Flat fee: $3,500
- Assist lead instructors during classroom sessions
- Support students as they develop stories, scripts, and audio projects
- Help facilitate classroom activities and discussions
- Coordinate communication between teachers and program instructors
- Assist with program logistics and final presentations
- Interest in theatre, audio storytelling, podcasting, media arts, or arts education
- Experience working with youth is an asset
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Reliable, collaborative, and comfortable working in a classroom environment
- Must be able to obtain and pass a Vulnerable Sector Check
This position is ideal for an emerging theatre artist, playwright, podcaster, audio producer, media artist, or arts educator seeking hands‑on experience in youth arts programming and audio storytelling.
