Freelance Copywriter

We’re looking for a talented, creative, and driven Copywriter with a passion for retail and storytelling to join our client's team. This is a contract role where  hours will flex between 20 to 35 hours per week . This position requires the talent to be located in the  Greater Toronto Area , as you will be expected to attend occasional meetings at our client's office in Toronto.
Responsibilities   Conceive and help create omni-channel content in coordination with editorial team
Work closely with Copy Manager and Art Directors to bring projects to life.
Work closely with our in-house content creator to edit social videos and help with in-store shoots.
Collaborate on storyboarding concepts and brainstorming with the creative teams on various marketing projects
Write copy for digital landing pages, email campaigns, digital banner ads, social media posts, etc.
Requirements   At least 5 years of experience.
Strong familiarity with CP Style, spelling and grammar.
Ability to follow Brand Tone of Voice to refine stakeholder requests into customer-facing copy.
Work closely with Copy Manager to ensure copy style guides and best practices are followed.
Collaborate with designers, studio and project managers through the review process and feedback stages.
Flexible schedule with the ability to attend virtual weekly meetings and in-person copy meetings as required.
Experience writing for the retail space will be highly valued for this role.
