Ismailova Theatre of Dance requires a dramaturge/acting coach for its physical theatre project based on Bulgakov’s novel. The chosen candidate will facilitate creative ensemble processes while ensuring emotional depth in the choreography. Rehearsals will occur from April 30 to June 19, featuring multiple show dates in 2026 at prominent locations in North York and downtown.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate scene development through group improvisation

• Manage exercises to enhance actors’ skills

• Observe choreography and provide emotional insights

• Collaborate with the choreographer on the show’s structure

• Engage with a diverse group of performers

Requirements:

• Experience in directing and coaching physical theatre

• Strong skills in teamwork facilitation

• Ability to create a collaborative and safe space

• Familiarity with the aesthetics of Ismailova Theatre

• Commitment to the rehearsal and performance schedule
