Global News MMC/OTT is hiring a talented full-time Producer/Editor based in Toronto, ON, focusing on news production and live event management.

This role offers a platform to showcase your creativity and journalistic expertise.

You will report to the Executive Producer, contributing to essential editorial discussions while handling diverse programming. We require a minimum of five years in television broadcasting, with strong writing, editing, and news production skills. The position demands a proactive approach to breaking news while collaborating effectively with both technical and creative teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce, write, and manage news broadcasts across markets

• Execute live broadcast events as needed

• Write and edit both live and packaged news segments

• Participate in editorial planning and discussions

• Work with graphics teams for improved storytelling

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in television broadcasting

• Education in journalism or related field

• Strong TV production and writing abilities

• Excellent communication and leadership qualities

• Familiarity with social media technologies and tools
