Part-time Technician – Studio Theatre, Toronto

Responsibilities
  • Operate sound, lighting and video systems during shows and events.
  • Set up and strike additional equipment as required.
  • Coordinate with teachers, directors, and production managers for all performances.
  • Work with house staff and talent to ensure smooth production.
  • File production reports and communicate technical issues and equipment damage to appropriate parties.
Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Able to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Experience with AV equipment/technical stage management is required.
  • Familiarity with running tech for sketch comedy, standup, and improv productions recommended.
  • Knowledge of QLab, ETC lighting consoles and Allen & Heath digital mixers is desirable.
  • Additional experience in theatrical production technologies, such as lighting design, is a plus.
