The Role 6–12 Month Contract

As a creative and business hub, this role serves as a driving force throughout development, prep, production, and post-production, shepherding projects from early script drafts through final delivery.

Equal parts creative collaborator, editorial voice, feedback translator, and on-the-ground problem solver, you'll work closely with writers, producers, executives, and network partners to help ensure every project achieves its creative vision while staying aligned with production realities.

Core Responsibilities
  • Support business affairs, including financing discussions and series budget oversight.
  • Review outlines, scripts, and cuts, providing thoughtful story and comedy notes that strengthen and elevate each project's creative vision.
  • Synthesize feedback from executives, writers, producers, and network partners into clear, actionable direction.
  • Serve as a key creative presence in development meetings, network meetings, and post-production reviews.
  • Attend production prep and shoots as required, providing real-time creative support.
  • Proactively identify creative, budgetary, and logistical challenges and work collaboratively to develop solutions.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in current programming, development, or a related production role.
  • Strong comedic instincts and editorial judgment.
  • Proven experience providing script notes and developing projects at a network or studio level.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to distill diverse feedback into clear, actionable next steps.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Available to travel as required.

Location

This is an in office role based in Downtown Toronto. This role is expected to be physically in office 4 days per week.
