Lead Managing Editor at CBC​/Radio

Step into a leadership role as the Managing Editor for CBC/Radio-Canada in Southwestern Ontario, overseeing editorial strategies and community outreach. This on-site position requires fluency in English and French to effectively engage diverse audiences.

This temporary, long-term position requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of local journalism. You will direct four teams in Windsor, London, Kitchener-Waterloo, and Hamilton, delivering comprehensive news coverage across platforms. The role also includes fostering collaborations across the organization to maximize journalistic impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic editorial leadership daily

• Develop partnerships and outreach strategies

• Ensure compliance with CBC’s journalistic standards

• Hire, mentor, and support newsroom staff

• Monitor published content for accuracy and integrity

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of related leadership experience

• Proven ability to guide journalistic decision-making

• Knowledge of CBC’s Journalistic Standards and Practices

• Experience managing teams remotely

• Strong understanding of media trends and local journalism
