This position is perfect for self-starters with at least two years of relevant experience and a degree in journalism. You will be instrumental in driving news coverage and helping to organize multi-platform content in a busy newsroom environment. Strong communication and teamwork abilities will support your success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with news gathering teams

• Identify and chase daily news stories and possible angles

• Organize pitches and manage shot lists effectively

• Edit videos and audio segments

• Write compelling stories in breaking news scenarios

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or equivalent with 2 years experience

• Knowledge of CBC’s journalistic standards and practices

• Proven experience in managing news assignments

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Comfort with digital publishing tools
