In the role of Evening Associate Producer, you will work at the Toronto Broadcast Centre and be integral to breaking news coverage. Your passion for local news and connection to the Greater Toronto Area will help you produce stories that resonate with audiences. Excellent communication and editing skills are crucial for success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with newsgathering teams and producers
• Identify and chase daily news angles and stories
• Organize shotlists and manage news pitches
• Edit video and audio content for broadcast
• Write accurate stories during urgent news situations
Requirements:
• Journalism degree or equivalent experience
• At least 2 years in an assignment role
• Solid understanding of journalistic standards
• High organizational skills with multitasking abilities
• Comfortable with various editing tools
