As a Senior Editor, you will oversee the editing and acquisition process for 10-12 significant nonfiction titles annually, including health and business categories.
Your role will leverage strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with agents and authors, while your organizational abilities will keep you on track with multiple projects and deadlines. Fostering a commitment to diversity and inclusion in publishing is also key to this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct substantive editing of nonfiction manuscripts
• Identify high-potential projects and acquire them
• Manage the project lifecycle for multiple titles
• Analyze market trends to capitalize on opportunities
• Present books effectively to optimize success
Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in a relevant field
• At least 5 years of editorial experience
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Established connections in the publishing industry
• Competency in Microsoft Office Suite
