Position: Curator for Sikh Art and Culture
Elevate Sikh art and culture at ROM, Canada's leading museum for Art, Culture and Nature. This curator role emphasizes partnerships and innovative exhibitions in diverse communities.

As Curator of Global Sikh Art and Culture, you will shape ROM's dynamic collection while collaborating closely with the Senior Curator of Global South Asian Art & Culture. Your work will engage a variety of stakeholders and facilitate the growth of a significant collection bridging historical and contemporary contexts in Sikh culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Curate and manage the Sikh art collection's growth and interpretation

• Collaborate with community leaders to design visitor-centric exhibitions

• Establish a strategic collection development plan for the next decade

• Engage public interest through workshops and immersive programs

• Foster partnerships with cultural organizations for outreach initiatives

Requirements:

• Advanced education in art history or a related discipline

• Proven experience with Sikh and Punjabi art and heritage

• Capacity to communicate in Gurmukhi and Punjabi preferred

• Strong community ties and understanding of contemporary issues

• Background in museum practices and curatorial standards
