Position: Modelling / Forecasting Senior Analyst (Quants)
Description
:
The successful candidate will be a member of the Non-Retail MV group covering the global credit risk rating models. The position reports to the Senior Manager, Non-Retail Model Validation group within MV.
Detailed accountability includes:
Validate non-retail credit risk models including but not limited to credit risk rating model, Stress testing (i.e., DFAST and EWST) and allowance Models (i.e. IFRS 9 and CECL) for the non-retail portfoliosDesign and implement validation methodologies and standards. Ensure that the validation methodologies and standards are in line with industry's best practice or address regulatory and audit requirements and/or findings in a timely manner.Evaluate the conceptual soundness of the model methodology, including the reasonableness of assumptions, reliability of inputs, and overall model specification and performance using statistical tests and business insights.Design, implement and maintain validation testing code in SQL, SAS, Python for data processing, analysis and modelling.Assess the suitability and comprehensiveness of performance metrics and risk measures to ensure the model's effective and reliable use.Evaluate and implement external models used for benchmarking internal model performance. Participate in model selection and related due diligence activity.Maintain/develop professional knowledge of techniques and developments in the field of quantitative analysis and share knowledge with business partners and senior management.Work effectively with different internal partners such as Model Development (MD) Group, Credit Risk Policy group (CRP), Internal Audit, and Enterprise Enabling Technology Solutions (EETS) GroupJob Requirements:
Robust quantitative skills with an advanced degree in one or more of the following areas:
Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, Physics & EngineeringProficient in one or more programming languages such as SAS, SQL, Mat Lab, R, or Python. Familiarity with JSON and Moody's Credit Lens is an assetFamiliarity with various statistical modelling techniques and ability to design/implement statistical testsExposure or experience in credit rating model is desirableInquisitive nature, ability to ask the right questions and escalate issues. Risk & Control mindsetGood time management and multitasking skills with minimal supervision and high attention to detailsExcellent ability to write comprehensive technical documents is requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Experience in model development or validation is desirableWho We Are:
