  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, scenario analysis, and long-term financial planning
  • Present financial updates and recommendations to senior leadership on a regular basis
  • Compliance & Operational Oversight

  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, audit, and statutory requirements
  • Maintain accurate management of client-related funds and reconciliations where applicable
  • Strengthen internal controls and improve financial and billing workflows
  • Oversee electronic billing processes and compliance with client billing standards
  • Maintain and optimize financial and practice management systems
  • Leadership & Strategic Support

  • Lead, coach, and develop the finance team, encouraging cross-training and continuous improvement
  • Coordinate external audits and act as the primary contact for auditors and financial institutions
  • Monitor cash flow, banking relationships, and capital requirements
  • Provide guidance on pricing structures, alternative fee arrangements, and matter or project profitability
  • Support strategic initiatives such as growth planning, technology upgrades, and business evaluations
  • Identify financial risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies
  • Process Improvement & Technology

  • Review and modernize accounting policies, procedures, and controls
  • Evaluate and recommend system enhancements or new tools to improve efficiency
  • Enhance financial reporting and dashboards to support data-driven decisions
  • Partner with internal departments to align financial practices across the organization
  • Qualifications & Experience

  • CPA designation required
  • + years of progressive financial management experience, including people leadership
  • Experience in a professional services environment strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of financial controls, compliance, and trust or client-funds accounting where applicable
  • Advanced skills in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Ability to build strong relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders
  • High level of judgment, discretion, and professionalism
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial and billing systems
  • Exposure to data analytics, reporting tools, or automation is an asset
  • If you meet the above qualifications, please submit your resume. Please note that while we appreciate all applications, only those being considered will be contacted.
