THE ROLEHybrid – Etobicoke, ON | Minimum 2 days in-office
Salary Range: $60,000 - $85,000
This role is ideal for a highly skilled accounting professional who enjoys ownership, complexity, and impact in a fast-growing, multi-entity fintech environment.
Senior Corporate Accountant will play a key role in overseeing full-cycle accounting across multiple legal entities and currencies, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting and strong internal controls. You will act as a subject-matter expert within the Finance team, support audits and compliance initiatives, and contribute to process improvements as the organization continues to scale. This is a hands‑on role with increased responsibility, visibility, and collaboration with Finance leadership.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING- Perform full-cycle accounting duties for a group of companies, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
- Review and approve journal entries supported by detailed account reconciliations and appropriate backup documentation
- Prepare schedules, working papers, supporting documents, and financial analysis to support financial statements, audits, FP&A, and special projects
Assist with delivering monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close procedures, including review and variance analysis - Audit, monitor, and report on high-volume crypto and cash activity using key internal systems and tools
- Review daily Cash‑in‑Transit (CIT) balances and proactively investigate and escape outstanding cash issues with Finance and CIT partners
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger across all entities
- Process banking, crypto, and other financial transactions for review and approval by the Finance team and Executives
- Uphold, maintain, and continuously improve accounting policies and documentation related to revenue, cost of sales, inventory, fixed assets, loans, and other key accounting areas in accordance with ASPE, US GAAP, and IFRS
- Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal government reporting, licensing, and tax requirements
- Act as a key contributor and point of contact for external and statutory audit engagements
Provide support, guidance, and informal mentorship to junior members as needed - Lead process optimization, automation initiatives, and ad‑hoc analysis as requested by the business

- 4–5 years of progressive accounting experience
- CPA designation (completed or actively in progress)
- Strong experience across the full accounting cycle
- Post‑secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience working in a multi‑entity environment
