About the role
  • Responsible for all aspects of the cash reconciliation process, including Sub‑Ledger to General Ledger (GL) to Bank and the resolution of open items, producing balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries as required.
  • Prepare the monthly reconciliation packages showing the GL Balance, Bank Balance and the Open Items.
  • Work on the cash reconciliations (Sub‑Ledger to General Ledger to Bank).
  • Analyze the open items and their ageing with a view to resolving those.
  • Review results of One Stream auto‑match, the current reconciliation tool, and perform manual matching thereafter.
  • Ensure that the auto‑matching is performed at a high rate and suggest improvements to the auto‑match rules configured within the tool.
  • Engage cross‑functionally with internal and external parties regarding the resolution of open items.
  • Prepare journal entries for review.
  • Assist in documentation related to financial processes/procedures around the cash reconciliation.
  • Perform daily activities such as Positive Pay/Daily Pay Reject for cheques that are eligible for payment after required validations.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • College diploma in Accountancy (DEP) or Attestation of Collegial Studies (AEC).
  • 1–2 years of demonstrated reconciliation experience.
  • Mandatory good working knowledge of accounting practices.
  • Familiarity with the reconciliation tool (One Stream experience is considered an asset).
  • Good knowledge of computer software such as MS Office, more specifically Excel.
  • Ability to handle considerable volume under tight deadlines; effective time‑management skills and ability to multitask.
  • Analytical with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Teamwork and tactfulness; ability to develop positive relationships with peers.

  • Expected base hourly rate range up to $24.
