Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Middle Office Operations Analyst specializing in Collateral, OTC derivatives, and Repo transactions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to support critical operational functions within the capital markets sector, focusing on process improvement, automation, and risk management in a dynamic team setting.
Pay rate range (CAD): $38.00/hr– $43.00/hr
Responsibilities- Manage and optimize collateral lifecycle processes, including safekeeping, digital tracking, margin calls, exposure management, and workflows for continuations and releases.
- Support full lifecycle processing of OTC derivatives and repo transactions, including trade processing, settlement, and portfolio reconciliation.
- Drive operational efficiency through workflow automation utilizing tools such as MS Power Automate, and develop data-driven reports with Power BI; contribute to the adoption of AI-assisted tooling where applicable.
- Coordinate with traders, legal teams, vendors, and internal departments to ensure smooth stakeholder engagement and vendor management.
- Maintain operational governance and risk controls to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies, safeguarding process integrity.
- Strong knowledge of OTC derivatives lifecycle, including trade processing and risk management concepts.
- Hands-on experience in collateral management, margining, repo markets, and secured funding workflows.
- Proficiency with collateral and margin systems such as Acadia Margin Manager, IMEM, and reconciliation platforms.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with traders, legal teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to support and mentor junior team members in operational tasks.
- CFA or FRM knowledge (not mandatory).
- Experience with repo markets and secured lending structures.
- Familiarity with automation tools and capital markets transformation initiatives.
- Exposure to collateral management platform enhancements and digitization projects.
- Understanding of broader middle office operational initiatives in capital markets.
